Your trust matters to us. This page explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data controller
Sharma Beauty Center, Chaussée de Waterloo 35, 1060 Saint-Gilles (Brussels), Belgium. Phone: +32 488 29 36 80.
The data we collect
- When you book an appointment (by phone, at the salon or online when online booking is available): your first and last name, your phone number, your email address where applicable, the treatments chosen and the date of the appointment.
- When you tell us something useful for your treatment (allergy, skin sensitivity…): only what is necessary to carry out the treatment safely.
- When you visit the website: visit statistics (pages viewed, referring site, browser type). Your IP address is not stored in clear: it is anonymised before being recorded.
Treatments are paid for at the salon: we do not collect any bank details on the website.
Why we use it
- to manage your appointments, confirm them and let you know of any change;
- to carry out your treatments in good conditions;
- to understand how the website is used, in order to improve it;
- to meet our legal obligations, in particular accounting ones.
This processing is based on the performance of your appointment, on our legitimate interest in running and improving the website, or on our legal obligations. We do not send you advertising messages without your consent, and we never sell or rent your data.
Who has access to it
Your data is intended solely for Sharma Beauty Center. It is stored with our hosting provider, OVH, in Europe.
To display correctly, the website loads fonts (Google Fonts), icons (Font Awesome via cdnjs) and a technical library (jQuery) from these providers' servers: your IP address is then sent to them, as with any website using these services. The "Directions" link opens Google Maps, which is subject to Google's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as necessary to manage your appointments and our relationship, then delete or anonymise it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Visit statistics are anonymous.
Cookies
The website uses no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking tools. It may set a technical cookie, strictly necessary for it to work (for example for online booking or the client area), which is not used to track you and therefore does not require your consent.
Your rights
You may at any time ask to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its use, object to it or receive it in a common format. To exercise these rights, contact us by phone or at the salon: we will reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Changes
This policy may change, for example when online booking becomes available again. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. See also our legal notice.
